Quendon Osteopathy re-opening information

There will be lots of changes to how I work at Quendon Osteopathy when reopening for face to face appointments.

Following guidance from my professional association, the Institute of Osteopathy, I can only see patients for a face to face appointment who cannot be helped with remote care via telephone or video. This includes people who have severe symptoms, symptoms that have not responded to self-care, symptoms that are impacting ability to work or activities of daily living and symptoms that would otherwise see you needed to use alternative NHS services.

I cannot see anyone who has Covid-19 symptoms, is self-isolating due to contact with someone with who has Covid-19 symptoms , is shielding due to being classed as Extremely Clinically Vulnerable or lives in the same household as someone in these categories.

There will be an initial triage to determine whether face to face care is suitable and to discuss the risks, and therefore I will only be taking bookings over the phone or via email.

I have been busy making the clinic ready for re-opening in the current climate, and you will see some changes, including removal of carpets, soft furnishings and unnecessary items. I have extremely stringent hygiene procedures in place, following Infection Prevention Control guidelines and will be wearing PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) as recommended by Public Health England. This includes a single use apron, single use gloves, and a surgical mask. On a risk assessed basis I also have the option of safety goggles or a face visor.

You can read my Covid-19 protocol for full information about these changes.
