It takes 4 years of full time training to become an osteopath, and I regularly attend further courses to keep my training up to date. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council ensuring maximum safety of treatment and the highest professional and ethical standards.

After working as a locum and associate for 2 years I established the osteopathic clinic in Castle Walk, Stansted in 1989 before moving to the Lower Street, Stansted premises in 2001 and expanding the team of experienced osteopaths and other therapists.

In March 2018 I downsized to the current premises in Quendon. My aim is to provide a friendly, patient centred practice in a relaxed setting.

I enjoy building a relationship with my patients, seeing the beneficial effects of osteopathic treatment and the diversity that my work brings me.

Although Osteopaths are best known for treating back pain, in fact we can treat all areas of the body and can help with a wide variety of problems.

Alongside my work with adults, I increasingly enjoy working with pregnancy related conditions, babies and children. I undertook postgraduate training in cranial osteopathy. This approach can be used for all ages but in particular is extremely useful in treating babies and young children. I gained a lot of confidence and experience at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy) where I worked for 18 months. With these skills, and being a Mum to two children myself, I can offer a wealth of experience in this specialism. I enjoy good relationships with and work alongside several midwives, health visitors and breastfeeding consultants.

I enjoy treating sports injuries especially having had 2 very sporty children! I have particular knowledge of tennis and swimming at competitive level and have with links with several local sports clubs as well as dance schools.

Osteopathy is particularly effective at getting to the root cause of recurring sporting strains and sprains, but I am also able to offer ultrasound for more acute problems. I incorporate home based exercise rehabilitation into my treatment plans.

I am a qualified pilates instructor (APPI) and can offer 1:1 pilates sessions at the clinic.

Jacolin Sheaf (also known as Jackie Lampon) I trained at the British School of Osteopathy, now known as the University College of Osteopathy, the leading provider of osteopathic education.
